Stress??
Stress??
Hmm... My stress pimples somehow found their way onto different corners of my face and plong themselves there ... =( My therapist was "horrified" to see me coz I usually don't have so many at one go - don't worry, it's not THAT bad, just a few dotties here and there. She commented that I'm being "youthful" again ... Haha, if only that is so ... Well, I guess it's due to the recent anxiety over exam preparation and writing papers? Yup, mugging, mugging and more mugging ...
Today was a day of stress too!! I had to be back in school to run chapel as JY was running the follow-up program. MY!! Everything that could go wrong went terribly wrong again =( As the main school hall was used for the Sec 4/5 mid-year exams, we had to use the basement AV hall. A few things went ... umm ... not as expected:-
1. The rain made the already horrendous traffic along the stretch of road outside school even worse - and I got to school at 7.10am. Imagine, assembly starting at 7.20am and all the preparation works needed to set up for chapel, etc ...
2. The partitions between the 2 AV room could only be opened half-way - try squeezing 300+ girls in that room with this kind of problem ...
3. My "pa-pa" generation laptop refuse to project when connected to the projector, so all my slides for songs and my chapel speaker's slides could not be turned on. JY's laptop was even worse, hers is the "grandpa" generation laptop, worse than mine ... Thanks to my wonderful colleague who brought my thumb drive to one of the computer and printed out the speaker's slides (in color !! Yay =) while the 1st session chapel went ahead.
4. The sound system in the AV room was ummm... not ideal. And the poor girls had to carry the keyboard and one of the amplifier from the main school hall on level 2 to this AV hall at the basement. Poor girls, I could see their prespiration and stress. I chose to settle for a guitar accompaniment for my worship, but my colleague insisted on having a keyboard ...
5. After 2 sessions of chapel with the LS girls, the third session with the Sec 3 was on. Guess what? My speaker went to the old premise (our holding school for two years) and by the time he arrived (just in time to speak), he was panting away ...
Sigh* stresses of life. With them, life becomes so stressful; yet without them, life becomes so plain and "boring" - can I use these words to describe? Haha, guess it's good to have stress at times, but at an optimum level that we can handle.
