And the first teardrop falls ...
Have you heard of the song "Before the next teardrop falls?" Haha, mine wasn't "before the next teardrop falls", my "song" was "and the first teardrop falls ..." Sigh* I'm not good with all the farewells and whatever have you - moments where your heart will just be so moved to emotions, and before you knew it, drip ... heaven gates begin to flow ...
The school had a little farewell for me during assembly this morning, and oh my! as my colleague told the girls "this is the last Monday morning assembly for the term, and in our midst, there's someone that will also be with us for the last time for Monday morning assembly ..." and that's it - that's enough to get the very first teardrop drip ... - hmm ... so useless hor =) Haha, but that's me, just a little gesture to touch my heart and I'll be ready to drip, drip and drip ... *SMILE* Well, of course I knew beforehand that my colleague is arranging something, and I had been telling myself, "Control, control, control" - and when my GB girls who were seated right in front looked at me, my very heart just goes out to them that I will for certain miss them and the good times we had together ... sigh*
Anyway, yes, that's how "bad" they are - the girls said they wanted to see me cry, and yes, I did. Now guess what, when they saw me moved to tears, they too started to cry ... Haha - who's "sabotaging" who? *wink*
This is my last week in the school, and somehow though I had kind of "counted down" to the days where I'm going to end this phase of my life, when it really comes, the feeling is just ... indescribeable.
I'm thankful to the school and the girls for the love they have shown, their encouragement and support - as much as you all said I had made a difference and an impact in your lives, I want to say too that it works both ways - thank you for allowing me to speak into your lives and make that little impact too. Thanks for all the gifts - very well-thought expressions that just cheers and warms my heart ...
Chocolates and impact sweets from the GB girls (they said it's because I've made an IMPACT in their lives), name-plate from the chapel band
Card from the chapel band
CD ROM from the chapel committee
Colorful windmill and float from the Prefects - they said I've helped them float and added colors to their lives =)
Well, all that I can say is, "I'm really thankful to the Lord for the past 6.5 years with the school, and for each person (colleague, students, etc) that He has brought along my path for me to add a little of my footprint in their lives." As much as you all pray for God's blessings to be upon me, my prayer is also that all of you will continue to be channels of God's blessings to others.
