Xiao-di's birthday =)

Xiao-di's birthday

It's my xiao-di's birthday today! And our "family of four", bro, plus xiao-mei's husband went to bro's restaurant for lunch.

Knowing how I hated fish (can't stand the fishy, stinky smell lah), pal and xiao-di had to "force" me to try raw fish, and then after that goose liver, and then eel (which is grilled). Bro was much nicer - more encouraging than the other two, in getting me to try these stuff, and thanks for offering me a taste of your noodles *SMILE*

Oh well, the fish isn't fishy though it's raw, but still I would rather pass. The liver is ... ummm ... not anything I would like a second bite. The eel which I considered well done in the sense that there's no more fishy taste or smell, was great amongst all 3.

We ordered different set lunches - the more "adventurous" ones with the more raw stuff, and the less "adventurous" one like me ordered the can't-go-wrong tempura set =) It was a great time of fellowship and dining together, a sure "stress relief" for xiao-di, xiao-mei and bro who are still working on their other papers which will be due in days to come. And I like the setting and the ambient of the restaurant - in fact, the "simplicity" of the hotel. While waiting for the rest to arrive, Bro brought me around the hotel and showed me an italian restaurant that is an excellent place to ask a girl for her hand - super romantic setting, overlooking the sea - the kind of place and ambient that will "WOW" any girl *WINK* And our "family of four" also discovered that the hotel can be a very good place for us to study for our exams =)
