Mini-celebration
Mini-celebration
Today marks the close of the college semester. We began with Holy Communion service and we ended with the same. How time just fly past us - remembering how the class first met ... how "blur" we were ... how we learn to "warm up" to one another, breaking the ice ... how we struggle through lectures, presentations and assignments ... how we met every week for our church visitation, etc. These will all be good memories deeply etched in our minds I believe - our 1st half of the year together.
I've always been thankful for a very cohesive class, a very dynamic and fun-loving, selfless group of friends (can you beat it - whatever resources and material we have, we share it willingly and openly with the rest, and competition against each other is the last thing we had in our mind!) in the class. After the service, we met for a simply birthday celebration - remembering those of us whose birthdays fall in the month of Nov and Dec.
Though it was a simple celebration (haha, 1 birthday cake shared amongst 7 birthday fellas *wink*) but the thought and love that went into it spoke beyond words. I've always "lamented" the fact that those whose birthdays fall in the month of May/Jun/Nov/Dec (the school holiday period) are the most "forgotten" and "pitiful" ones - coz while everybody elses birthday got celebrated, ours never seemed to be remembered. But of course, I'm proven wrong (gladly) =)
1 John 4:11-12 "Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us." May our class continue to be the LOUD example of God's love to us, and to one another! *SMILE*
