Last day of school, last assembly, super HIGH, MacDonalds!!

Finally, this is the last day of the entire academic year! A lot of us are feeling tired physically and emotionally - especially when there's plenty of awards the school went ahead with this year, plus the school's 90th anniversary. Everyone's looking forward to a long deserved break!

In celebration of a good year, the school gave everyone a treat from MacDonalds! Burger, apple pie with milo - sounds good huh? for a school population of about 1500, including staff. Sigh* but hearing what some students comment, I can't help but feel that this generation is such a "discontented" lot ... there were complains that the burger don't have cheese ... don't have pickles ... don't have mayo ... etc - and the whole list can just go on. Sigh* hard to please, when you have everything included, there'll be some who say they don't want this, or don't want that ...

Before dismissal, we have our last assembly as a proper closure to the school year. As usual our P addresses us and pray for the Lord to watch over all of us during the holidays. We sang our theme song and school song - and for the first time the school song was sang so loudly =) The girls were really super super high.

Sob sob, we are going to move back to Lorong Ah Soo by end of the year, and this is the last time we are having our assembly in this holding school. Time really fly by real quick - when we first came, we were not used to this place at all, but now we've grown so attached to it. Well, minus the walking from blocks to blocks, most of us love the space we have here - the greenaries, the 2 big basketball courts, the whole patch of open space and field ... gonna miss it when we move back next year =(

I haven't seen my new office - but I bet it's half the size my current one (or smaller)? Well, my current one is really big - in fact, it's the principal's office of the previous school =) With the constrain of space in the new premise, I should be contented to have an office by myself huh? =)

Is the new always good, and the old always pale in comparison? At least not for me ...

For the next 2 months, I will miss the visits of the girls - banging on the keyboard and having fun fiddling with all the "errie" tones ... talking nonsense and complaining their hearts out ... playing board games and getting on each others' nerves ... sigh*

Have a good holiday and remember to study hard to prepare for the next academic year too!
