Just for laughs - dumb, dumber
Just for laughs - dumb, dumber
Do you think animals are clever? Well, I think they are - but somehow animals that end up in my household became too pampered and as a result become somewhat dumb =)
Had quite an "adventure" trying to coax my naughty cat who sneaked out through the bedroom window to roam no further and to come back home. Haha, we kept him in the house for close to one year, allowing him to roam and play in the living room during the day and shutting him in one of our toilets during the night =) - and if you read my previous post about "temperaments of animals", you will find a more detailed description about him (Brownie my cat) and all my other animals - there's pictures too! *wink*
Brownie's really a cunning one - sneaking his way out when we were not aware and the next thing we knew, we heard a "BOM" sound from ground floor (oh, by the way, I stay in landed property and Brownie sneaked out through the bedroom windows in the 2nd floor, so no worries, he didn't jump out of a HDB high-rise window =) and we began to realize "hey, Brownie had sneaked out!!"
We frantically rushed up to the 2nd floor bedroom and tried all that we can to trace his whereabouts - and guess what? this dumb, dumber was sitting right in between my house's awning and my neighbor's house awning - at a loss of what to do and where to go. Oh my, you SHOULD HAVE SEEN his real SUPER "blur" reaction (too bad it's too dark to capture his reaction on pictures =) I think to a certain extent the haze condition which affects visibility sort of "shocked" him too - and makes him wonder "oh no, what am I to do and where am I to go?"
As a result, he loiter in between the 1st and 2nd floor's awning within the premise, perching himself comfortably on the rails, jumping in and out of gaps between the two storeys' false ceiling. The entire time we were climbing up and down the ladder looking at where he is ... trying to coax him to come down, and to come back, etc. WOW, it was a whole bucket of prespiration just coaxing and "sweet-talking" him!
After a while (probably no less than 30 minutes) this fellow got a bit restless and began to find his way back to the 2nd floor awning and jumped back up the 2nd floor bedroom window - and you guess it, we caught hold of him immediately and had all the windows closed!!
Mine, it was such an "adventure"! Mum's really worried that Brownie might not know how to make his way back home after being locked up for so long! And of course, the other reason is because though Toby, my mongrel is aware that Brownie is part of the household, but yet somehow when Brownie runs back home from outside the premises, Toby would find joy chasing after him, adding much stress and panic to Brownie. And not to mention that Brownie actually has a "guilty conscience" as there was once Brownie in his panic scratched Toby at his nose area and this memory seemed "deeply etched" in Brownie's mind and worried that Toby "might take his revenge".
Anyway, we all had a good laugh as we "teased" him of his stupidity and blurness when we caught him back home.
Well, with 3 animals as "entertainment" at home everyday, what other entertainment do I need? *SMILE* And all 3 had their bags of different TRICKS up their sleeves! =)
