Cover to cover

Cover to cover

WOW! I finally completed 1 entire year (2 semesters) of NT, and 1 semester of World Religion. For once in my entire life, I have read the assigned textbook cover to cover - I'm amazed at myself =) Not that I have not read books cover to cover - definitely for books that I enjoy reading, especially authors whose books I have passion for, reading cover to cover is no sweat. But speaking about textbooks which give mostly dry facts, or authors writing with jargons that require you to read and re-read, or thought provoking statements that burn your brain cells, hmm ... that's altogether a different challenge.

In any case, reading those texts assigned has also helped me greatly in understanding - not just the subject, but also the background to which the writings of the NT were crafted, or the background to a particular religion, etc. Well, of course another reason would be - the money invested in the textbooks were not wasted =)

Beginning July, I will be a full-time student - taking more than 3 subjects (which is my maximum number thus far as a part-time student who's still holding to a full-time job) and definitely having more readings piling up. My prayer is that I will continue to be disciplined, give my best to each subject, and to push myself to fulfill my own academic expectations, if not beyond.

All the best to me! =)
