Unpredictable life ...
Unpredictable life ...
I guess all hearts are heavy as we read and hear about the news about the Cambodia dragon-boating tragedy. We might not know those who met with the mishap but our hearts go out to them and their families.
Life is so unpredictable, isn't it? And sometimes, like what my mum always say, "why are the good people always so short-lived?" In some ways, it seems true - we've heard and seen many brilliant, outstanding, obedient, sensible, responsible (and the list goes on ...) people whose life were shortened due to unfortunate accidents.
Much as we want and desire answers to "satisfy" the "why", we can never understand and comprehend the entire matter completely. What we see now is what we can see with our limited eyesight while on earth. The answer that we usually get to hear is always hard to swallow ... "God knows better." And sometimes we really wonder, is that so??
In the unpredictability of life, held in the hands of the all-knowing, all-powerful God, we can only say in each waking moment, "live life to the fullest - live so that there's no regrets. Live because it is today, it's the present (ie. now), and also the PRESENT (ie. a gift) from God ..."
