Inconveniences of having only one hand

Inconveniences of having only one hand

Well, thanks for all the prayers and concerns of friends - the healing and recovery of my hand can be said to be fairly good and quick - at least that's what I personally felt as I assess the speed of recovery. At least I'm no longer on cloth bandage - only the surgery wound is covered and bandaged, not the whole hand. The entire hand don't feel as "heavy" as when it was wounded around the cloth bandage. However, there's advantage and disadvantage both to having the hand bandaged ...

Advantage - the left hand feels "lighter" and can move much better than it was "wrapped" like a pig trotter

Disadvantage - because the hand can move more "freely", when I exercise my hand (keeping it 90 degree) and swinging it inwardly and outwardly to move the limb, if I accidentally hit any part of my hand, say my fingers or my palm on something, the immediate reaction is like "OUCH!!!!"

Sigh* having only one hand produces lots of inconveniences. There are quite a number of things I can't do AT ALL with just one hand ... - I can't put on my contact lenses ... I can't clip my hair when it feels hot ... I can't pin up my fringe when it feels pricky hanging down my forehead ... etc, etc But besides all these complains, I really have more to give thanks =)

God has been really good and watching over me, granting healing and recovery. Thanks to His grace and mercy in this entire episode too! =)
