L sms me to say that my older godson got in ACJS through ballot!!! Yey!!
A said next week during classgroup, she and SL are planning for a lunch, probably from KFC, and she was so amused when I pulled out my KFC coupon for her. Yup, I told her poor theological college student is depending on all these discounts =P
Well, I guess my classmates do begin to "appreciate" all these meal coupons =) We went Macs for lunch after chapel today coz xiao-mei crave for Macs ...???...!!! of all things .. haha, and that's when I pulled out my MacDonalds coupons *SMILE* A, YH & xiao-mei shared a meal, and with YH's reward points, they got another nuggets, so the three of them were so pleased that they each only pay $2 for their meal =)
I "kidnapped" 2 little girls within a week ... haha. First was on Sunday when I saw godsons and Esther, their younger sister before service begins. I asked Esther if she wanted to follow me, and she said "yes", so I told L that Esther will be with me. Hmm... how did I know Esther was supposed to attend Church School (for the first time) that very morning? Thinking that Esther was going to be seated with us throughout the service, I brought her up to the Mezzanite floor of the sanctuary, where we are usually seated. We were having such a good time playing when CL came upstairs and said Esther needs to attend Church School, and it was only in the middle of the service that I realized L had called me 3x to locate where Esther and I were =P And L said that younger godson was somewhat upset coz he was promised the task of bringing mei-mei to Church School, and his godma (innocently not knowing all these pre-arrangements) took his mei-mei away. Haha =P Well, I said I "kidnapped" 2 little girls, the other was Gladys - C's daughter. Both C & Am joined us for lunch after class on Tuesday and having not seen Gladys for so longs, I was a bit "ga-ga" when I saw her (hey, she's cute k!! She's so well-behaved and I hardly see her cry, she's such a happt baby) and of course I tried to carry her whenever I got the chance =) I asked Gladys to follow me home, and Am glady say, "sure" ... haha =)
By the way, I realized C really start Gladys young. We were discussing about Greek in the car and C started teaching Gladys "alpha, beta, gamma, delta ..." haha. He even mention about teaching her how to read the Greek Bible once he learn it so that when Gladys start school, she will be able to read the Greek Bible, and perhaps "challenge" her SS teacher that a certain passage should not be interpreted in certain way because the Greek Bible says otherwise ... hahaha. Gladys is a smart girl, really. I was also teaching how words like "wet tissue", "clever girl", etc and she picked them up real fast =)
And yes, I realized Jack can't smoke!!! Since student lounge was crowded, we went to the library to study, and Jack conveniently took out a Hebrew Bible from the shelve, turned to a random page, and declared, "Here's where I don't understand ..." Then he went on to turn the pages of the book from the front to the back - 1st boo-boo, coz Hebrew Bible are read from the back to the front!!! Haha. Still wanting to try, Jack turned to Genesis, and pointed to the Hebrew word for "Genesis" and said as he point to the words from left to right, "see, I can read this, it's Genesis" - 2nd boo-boo, coz Hebrew words are read from right to left!!! Haha, pal, xiao-di and I had such a good laugh as we realized Jack just isn't a "smoker"!!
I guess all these light-hearted moments are what we need in the midst of study and stress, and it's a good thing that the class is a fairly united bunch. Thank God for learning, thank God for friends, thank God for good brothers and sisters in Christ!
