Of stickers and smiley faces

Greek is an interesting language - hard as it may be as beginners, the teacher teaching the subject makes a great difference!! We are all so glad to have Dr T as our Greek lecturer, and she will always be telling us, especially when we lament about how much we have to learn each week, and how the add-ons each week are making us "confused", "overwhelmed", "scared", etc. She will always reply, "Don't worry, I'll be here to hand-hold all of you ..."

Dr T makes learning a new language really interesting - I've written about the "alphabet" song she taught us when we started our first lessons learning the Greek alphabets. Her very systematic way of teaching, and her very clear explanation makes lessons interesting too. We have our Greek classes on Thursday afternoons, and usually for afternoon lessons, the ZZZ monster would have no problem catching up on us, but yet there is hardly any need for snoozle at all!

We had 2 review quizzes thus far (yes, one every week!!) and Dr T's encouragement goes even into our script itself - smiley faces when we get some answers right ... "stars" or "you did it" sticker when we get fairly good grades ... and all the fanciful ink-stamps that she can put on to encourage her students =) I know what I can get her for this year's Teachers' Day already =P

Hmm... let me try and formulate a statement (please do correct me if it's grammatically incorrect k =) ...

In Greek (can't seem to get the Greek symbols into this page): Echo to biblion tes zoes te(i) oikie(i)
In English: I have the book of life for the house

Doesn't sound grammatically correct, but anyway who cares, Dr T always say, "Greek statements don't sound grammatically correct when translated to English" ... haha
