Hmm... what do you say of all these?

Hmm... what do you say of all these?

Wow, I haven't blog for quite a few days huh ... all because I'm trying to clear the mountains that never seem to move - it's still there, in fact will be there, till I complete my theological studies in May 2009 ... hahaha

Anyway, thought I'd just put down some of the things I've learnt during the past week or so, in class, through my readings, etc ...

I've learnt that SUMO means "shut-up & move on". Haha. That was what I learnt today at PC&C class. It means telling the individual to "shut-up" the negative responses that he or she has been entertaining and thinking so that they can learn to take responsibility for their own plight and situation, and hence, move on.

I've learnt that the crisis in midlife for the women is called menopause, and for the men, it's called "Male midlife". Haha

I've come to realize that scholars seemed to have "funny" names *wink* ... xxxx Dieter (sounds like he's having a diet, or he's a professional dieter), xxxx Culpepper (sounds like some condiments on a lazy susan or a dining table), xxxx witherxxx (sounds like he's going to wither any moment), xxx Wright and xxx Hays - just like what Bro says, "Hays makes things hazy, and Wright is not always right" ... haha

And a friend commented about how dense men can be, ie. they are just not smart enough even to know what hints mean - and they just can't figure out ... hmm... that makes me wonder, so do we call this the "density" of men ... Hahaha

Well anyway, though the past week has been really busy clearing readings and assignments (Phew! handed up my critical book review assignment, my Theo 1 response paper, my FE seminar report, completed my FE seminar presentation), I really thank God for watching over me. I can really go bonkers at this rate I'm pushing myself, especially when I'm also keeping a watch over sis' office affairs now that she's out-of-town ... There are plenty more readings to complete in the next 2 weeks before semester break, 3 quizzes within a week (IBI, Greek, Theo), 1 presentation (PC&C class), 1 trip for FE to make over the weekend ... I must really make sure I don't waste a second of time.

Thank God also for watching over my friends - one had a relapse of vertigo and was hospitalized for a few days, another had a minor accident during morning peak hour traffic, and thank God he sustained minor injuries and was kept safe - couldn't imagine what could have happened during those rush hours. Thank God! He's the One who watches over us day and night, and put His shield around us. How privileged we are to be His children!
