Building houses ... ???
Building houses ... ???
Last Sunday, our CG (with 2 other teams to other venues) was commissioned during the service for the coming m trip. The plans were to help build houses where we are going, doing children ministry in an orphanage, etc. But looking at the make-up of the group (11 adults, 7 kids =), we were somewhat apprehensive about the task upon us *SMILE*
WT came up with this very funny calculation ...
"Applying rules of proportion, we should be able to complete .... 0.276 house in the time we have (if the figure looks weird to you it's because I double counted pp with extra expertise)."
One of my pastor said, if we were to complete the entire house, maybe the whole group needs to stay there for more than 2 years ... haha. Another pastor jokingly said that his instinct tells him we're going to build houses with lego instead of bricks (haha - as he looks at the number of kids that are tagging along) *grin*
Whatever it is, the group is excited about the trip - especially those first-timers on a m trip, and definitely a good exposure and learning experience for our very fortunate Singaporean kids.
By the way, we solicit your prayers - a few kids have been falling sick the last few days. Do pray for protection for our family members in our absence also. Many thanks =)
