Something to muse over ...
Last Friday evening we had our college Thanksgiving dinner, and the whole jing gang was seated together - right at the back of the ballroom. Why? Because all of us were involved in ushering!!! Haha.
Anyway, it was quite fun seated together and catching up, chit-chatting, talking nonsense and so on. At one point of the dinner, a senior who had graduated some years ago came by our table with his son. A while later, a lecturer passed by our table and saw this little toddler, and asked the father, "So, when is your son going to register for theological studies?" Well, of course such plans will take at least 25 to 30 years to materialize, haha.
However, the lecturer's question spark off an "ingenious" idea in the minds of my classmates at the table ... someone proposed that we should enrol all our children to the theological college at the same year, so that they can be classmates. And perhaps by then, a couple of our brilliant classmates had already been lecturing in the college, and we can then encourage our kids to enrol for their classes, like Dr A .... L ... (haha).
What's most funny was when Chye commented, "So when our kids tell us they want to register, we had to tell them, "no, no, I don't think God is calling you yet ... maybe wait another year"" - if that particular year we couldn't get all the "kids to register together". Haha, it was super funny.
Sometimes we just need things like this to spice up life a bit and bring some jolly moments to stressful times =)
