Had been reading chapters and chapters of the assigned readings for my 3 subjects. The more I read, the more I figure out something ... if you want people to read what you've written, write it plainly and write it simply!!
Sigh* these initial weeks of reading are just killing me - and some of the books that are recommended as text are just not reader-friendly. I wonder what some of these authors had in mind when they pen their thoughts for the book? Some simply used jargon that laypersons can't seem to figure out ... some will just beat around the bush just to make 1 point, and you've got to read like pages of it to get that 1 point?? And then there are some who simply confuses you as you read, and you begin confused, you end up even more so after completing the chapter =P
Now I'm beginning to understand why xiao-di commented that my blog entries when they first started are so "unreader friendly" *SMILE*
Well, I still had to bear with them since they are the recommended text and if I want to make sure I can catch up with what my lecturers are teaching, I just got to pray for more grace as I read ...
And help!! ABear asked me to teach on the topic of "Trinity" for the church's baptism class!! I told him he has thought too highly of me =) but regardless of my pleas, he's just so adamant about it ... =( Don't get me wrong k - he's a nice guy, my good friend and my FE supervisor =) Haha, even more grace from God is needed ...
