Emmanuel has come ... and my little gift for Him
Emmanuel has come ... and my little gift for Him
Happy birthday, Lord Jesus!! =)
Since my operation, I have not been to church - and that has been a period of about 2 months. During this period, I was confined mostly to home to ensure quick recovery and prevent any "further accidents" for going out more may mean exerting my injured hand more, or "hitting" crowds of people during this season. Of course, the other reason is I didn't want to trouble or impose on friends to come by and pick me up just because "I need to be there ..." So the past Sundays have been a quiet worship on my own with the Lord.
I told the Lord I wanted to give Him a little gift on His birthday - the gift of myself - making it to church on my own (yes, driving there!!) and celebrating His day with the rest of His people. Praise God, I did it!! Well, I wouldn't say I can drive very comfortably yet, because my left hand still feel the strain and pull when I'm engaging the gear ... but definitely it's much better than 3 weeks ago when I "adventurously" tried to do so. Maybe what I did isn't something so "glorious" or something to be proud of, but having gone through the 2 month period of being "churchless", this act means a great deal to me, and I hope to the Lord too =)
Emmanuel has come, and He certainly deserves the best!! I wouldn't dare to say I've given Him the best in everything I do, but it's certainly my prayer that He would take delight in me as He bless me with everyday to live ... Christmas is all about Him, not me ... Christmas is all about His grace, His love, His mercy, His forgiveness ... and the list just goes on ... imagine if He wasn't born at all - what would have become of CHRISTmas?
Emmanuel has come ... and He has given of His best to us ... what are we then, offering to Him?

Emmanuel has come
Christmas is about His glory
Christmas is about His grace
Christmas is a gift of love the Father gave us
More than just another story
About a special time and place
Christmas is a time to life a song of praise
Chorus
For God is with us and we celebrate the glory of His presence
Christ has come to fill our hearts with love
He came to save us, King of kings and Lord of lords
His Name is Jesus
God with us, Emmanuel has come
Angels fill the night with singing
God is reaching out to man
Bringing us a gift of hope in Christ our Savior
More than just a time of giving
This is God's eternal plan
Christmas is the reason we can sing again
(Chorus)
Emmanuel has come ... and He has given of His best to us ... what are we then, offering to Him?
