Definition of fun
Definition of fun
Most people are in holiday moods already - even though they are not those who are having school holidays, but somehow the festive mood rubs in on them ... and with all these celebrations, parties, drinking, etc - the police has been cautioning and warning against drink driving.
Again, it was a reaction towards what I read in the papers - where I shudder to think about what our society is becoming. It's quite heart-breaking to see, read and hear about young people's definition of fun - as long as I enjoy it, that's what's important - to the extent that they love to challenge themselves to get home in a drunk state, even though it meant posing danger to other road users.
I've seen many cases where the definition of fun is so self-centered - as long as I (BIG I) enjoy it, who cares?? Has our society become so inward-looking and so self-contained? It's something like, "I don't care what you feel or what you think ... it's ME and how I FEEL that matters ... I love it, I enjoy it ... who are you to tell me off??" - in any case, what I've written is also from an unpleasant incident that happened a few weeks ago ... it was a small matter but it became something that is so personal for the person I communicated with to convey to him my definition of what fun should be and how it should be done in consideration to others, and also in moderation ...
